Celebration of Learning!

On Thursday, November 26^th we will be having our triad conferences. The purpose of these conferences, led by the student, is to share what is happening in the classroom and to give students the opportunity to demonstrate, reflect on, and celebrate their own individual growth. Students will be prepared to showcase their learning from term one.

 

We are going to once again use an “Open House” format, meaning no need to schedule a time to come visit.  Classrooms will be open on Thursday evening from 4:30pm – 7:30 pm and teachers will be available to visit with students and families during this celebratory time. Please plan to spend approximately 15 minute per classroom.  The open house will end at 7:30.

 

Mrs. Rogala will be available in the gym office to discuss skills worked on this term in physical education and Ms. Versteeg invites students and parents to visit the music room to meet our new music specialist. 

 

As the focus is on celebrating learning, and due to the fact that there will be multiple families together in the classroom, this is not the ideal time to discuss any concerns you may have about your child.

 

If you would like to arrange to speak privately with your child’s classroom teacher please contact him/her directly or schedule an appointment for Friday, November 27^th during the morning from 9:30-11:00 using the “Linwood Conference Manager” online at http://linwood.sjsd.net/.  The system will open for bookings on Wednesday, November 18^th at 8:30 AM.
