This year 42 students in Grades 4 & 5 participated in the annual Linwood Hockey Challenge. Participants demonstrated great sportsmanship during wins and losses alike. Students who volunteered as referees and timekeepers did a fabulous job controlling the substitutions and calling goals. Congratulations to The Chicago Cats FTW who were the tournament winners. A big “thank you” goes out to Mrs. Rogala for organizing and supervising this special lunch time activity.

Siloam Says "Thank You"!
This week some of our Giving Tree Club members went on a field trip with Ms. Jensen. They delivered the donations to grateful recipients at Siloam Mission. The students helped to organize the donations in the warehouse. The students were proud to represent Linwood in making a difference in our community.

Day of Pink
On April 9th, Linwood will recognize Day of Pink. This is a day wear students are invited to wear pink in an effort to raise awareness about bullying. All students and staff are invited to wear pink to school. An invitation has also been extended for students to order their own St. James Collegiate Family of School t-shirt for Day of Pink 2014 .
